The STAR Corps We refer to our
museum volunteers as the "STAR Corps," for "Sustainers of Tradition And Remembrance." They are a special group of
people, from all walks of life and all types of backgrounds. Our
volunteers help keep the museum operating day-to-day, manning the
visitor reception desk, running the gift shop, answering the
telephones, cleaning and maintaining the building, working in the
office, and assisting in every other way possible. Some volunteers
help with exhibit fabrication, others assist in the restoration of
our aircraft and missiles. The library and archives are run mostly
by volunteers and our education programs are presented mostly by
volunteers. They are a dedicated and enthusiastic group of people
and we could not exist without them!
Want to join the
ranks of our STAR Corps and help us accomplish our many vital
tasks? We are always looking for additional help. You do not have
to have any particular type of work experience, only a willingness
to learn and have fun! If you do have a specialty though, let us
know and we will certainly put your talents to good
use!!
