McDonnell F-101B Voodoo

Originally designed as a long range bomber escort, the F-101's role was changed shortly after entering service to that of a fighter-interceptor and photo reconnaissance platform. The Voodoo was used during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam war. The F-101 was used at Chanute AFB as a trainer in the Fuel Specialist course.

The aircraft on exhibit, F-101B-70-MC S/N 56-0273, is on loan to Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum from the National Museum of the United States Airforce.
